Before, this crawlspace was dirty, sagging, and not very dry. After the crawlspace encapsulation was done and the structure was repaired, it is now clean and dry and will stay this way forever!

Ice Guard was installed on a sump pump discharge line to prevent water exiting the sump pump from freezing. Sump pump discharge lines are fed outside the home, meaning it's possible they could freeze during the cold winter months. A backed-up discharge line means your sump pump won't work properly in the event of water in your basement, which will make the flooding much worse. Our solution to this problem is the IceGuard® discharge line system.

The IceGuard® fits over the top of your discharge line to provide water with a secondary escape route. When the main line is working correctly, water simply flows out as usual. However, when the discharge line is frozen, the IceGuard® allows water to escape through slotted openings in the drain pipe. This ensures that any water your sump pump is removing from your basement is safely cleared away outside your home, preventing any backed-up or frozen lines. The IceGuard® is compatible with all our sump pump systems.

Before:
An old farmhouse in Winneconne showed classic signs of structural stress: a block/stone basement wall with stair-step and horizontal cracking, slight inward bowing, bouncy first-floor rooms, and makeshift wood posts with stacked shims under the main beam.

After:
We installed the PowerBrace™ wall repair system to stabilize the failing foundation wall and added SmartJack® adjustable steel supports under the beam, set on engineered footings and tightened to restore bearing and reduce floor deflection.

The wall is now stabilized and the floors are level and solid, protecting the home’s structure for the long term.
