Crawlspace Insulated & Moisture Controlled in Summit Lake, WI

Challenge

A beloved Northern Wisconsin family cottage typically used six months out of the year, had a problem. With all the summer and winter equipment, there was limited usable storage areas in the lower level. The moisture, mold, and smell in the two large dirt floor crawlspaces were preventing the homeowner from being able to utilize the hundreds of square feet of open space downstairs. The homeowners added a new small back door walk out for better access, but this area contributed additional moisture and heat loss.

Solution

To help transform these areas into clean, dry, warm useable storage spaces, we used our CleanSpace Encapsulation system to isolate and insulate their home from the earth. The block walls of the addition were insulated with our FoaMax wall solution, and the Sedona dehumidifier addressed the high moisture air, reducing odors and preventing mold.

With a 25-year fully transferable warranty, the cottage can continue to be a place more fully used and enjoyed.
