Challenge

The homeowner had been diligently renovating the house's interior to make it more habitable, however, several cracks on the property had settled, creating trip hazards, which were a safety concern for many visiting relatives. The issue had worsened since she moved in earlier this year, and it was imperative to address the issues on the exterior of her property as the shrinking soils had caused the concrete to crack and settle, resulting in trip hazards in the garage area and certain sections of the sidewalk where water would pool and freeze during the winter months. Due to the uneven concrete, it had become impossible for Jan to convert her garage into a living space and install flooring.

Solution

After a thorough inspection, PolyLevel Injection Foam was recommended to lift and level the troubled area and protect the rest of the concrete from future settling along with NexusPro Joint Sealant to prevent water from penetrating under the concrete and to avoid any future concrete settlement. Additionally, SealantPro Concrete Sealant was suggested to protect the surface of the concrete and extend its lifespan.

After the project was complete, Jan was thoroughly impressed with the quality of work done by Sure-Dry, so much so that she even made the crew lunch. She has big plans of transforming her dusty garage into an appealing living space for her guests and now will be able to since the flooring is level.
