Challenge

For over 30 years, this homeowner has watched his concrete driveway and walkways become more cracked and sloped toward the house. This has caused surface water to pool along-side the foundation, which contributed to water seeping into the basement of their 1940's home.

With a year of extended drought, the soils shrank back causing more settling and larger voids. In addition to the improper pitch of the concrete, the aesthetic look of the deteriorating concrete with continuing cracking was worsening.

Solution

Using our PolyLevel Injection Foam System, we lifted and leveled all the uneven concrete, filling voids under the concrete with a light yet strong two-part foam. Once lifted, the joints and cracks were prepared by grinding and cleaning, then sealed with our NexusPro Sealant to prevent future water from getting under the slabs and providing a 5-year warranty against settlement.
