Hillside Garage Walls Straightened & Stabilized in Minocqua, WI
Challenge
The customer called us because their garage that was built into the side of the hill was badly cracking and leaning in, causing damage to the rest of the structure. The blocks had cracked and were leaning in and separating. They use this garage to store things that they use while on vacation at the home.
Solution
We recommended our GeoLock Channel Anchors to permanently stabilize badly failing and separating walls. Due to the condition of the wall, we also excavated the soil on the outside of the wall and first straightened the wall so it could continue to support the garage, and were able to return it to its original position, stopping the damage that was occurring to the structure above. The wall now looks better, but most importantly, it is now permanently stabilized from this issue ever coming back in the future.
