Basement Waterproofed and Foundation Walls Stabilized in Green Bay, WI

Challenge

Jeanette expressed her concern about the possibility of the walls in her basement collapsing someday. Although she doesn't believe it will happen tomorrow, she thinks the situation is not improving with time. She also mentioned that she understands that delaying repairs would likely result in higher expenses.

After conducting a free estimate, our design specialist determined that the structural integrity of the block walls in Jeanette's basement has been compromised due to the gradual buildup of hydrostatic pressure over time which has resulted in the walls significantly bowing inwards.

Solution

To address the basement-related challenges encountered by the homeowner, we implemented an effective solution by installing our WaterGuard Drainage System along the entire perimeter of the basement. This involved drilling weep holes in the bottom of the blocks to facilitate the efficient drainage of water into the system. Then, we replaced the existing concrete sump pit with a new TripleSafe Sump Pump System to collect and dispose of the water flowing through the system. Additionally, we installed PowerBraces on multiple basement walls to prevent further movement and ensure stability. Finally we installed IceGuard to prevent the drainage system from freezing water during cold months. The homeowner was thrilled that she would no longer have to worry about foundation or water issues in her basement and could instead, focus on enjoying her home.
