Poor Air Quality and Health Issues Caused by Mold & Mildew Resolved in Luxenburg, WI

Challenge

One of the homeowners of this Almond, Wisconsin home had been suffering from serious health issues that were being made worse by the poor air quality in the home, caused by an unsealed crawl space that was allowing moisture, mold, and mildew. This was a very time-sensitive issue that needed to be taken care of before he came home from the hospital.

Solution

To fix the moisture and air quality issues in the home, we installed our complete crawl space encapsulation system that includes Drainage Matting and CleanSpace Crawl Space Vapor Barrier, and RimTight Joist Insulation to completely seal the living space from the earth below. We also used our WaterGuard Drainage System in the basement and upgraded the sump pumps in both the crawl space and basement to ones that are sealed and have a battery back-up. The last product installed was the Sedona SaniDry Dehumidifier to control the humidity levels, keep the mold from coming back and filter the air for pollen, mold spores, and dust mites. The homeowners are very happy that they no longer need to worry about poor air quality causing more health issues in the future.
