Basement Water Issues Resolved in Rib Lake, WI

Challenge

When I first met Ben and Mindy they were excited to have Sure-Dry at their house. They had an older finished basement and for quite a while, had water issues that had created a damp, musty basement and soaked carpets. This problem got worst after snow melt and heavy rains. They had used the basement for homeschooling, as well as, a recreation area for their kids and family, and also had laundry and storage in the unfinished portion of their basement. They were hopeful Sure-Dry could provide them the solution they needed as no intention of selling the house anytime soon.

Solution

Upon inspection, several areas of effervescence, mold, and water intrusion were discovered. The problem was proving to be much more extensive than water intrusion on the finished side of the basement. I explained how the lack of a proper water control system was creating quite a bit of hydrostatic pressure and the expanding and contracting soils around the foundation walls were creating a path for water to leak through the cold joints of the basement foundation. This problem could be resolved with our interior water control solution, WaterGuard Floor Drainage Sustem, and by adding our TripleSafe Sump Pump System to take the water away from the foundation. The TripleSafe Sump Pump System also includes a backup system, in the event of power loss or a circuit breaker being tripped. Because there was a fair amount of moisture on the walls and coming through the basement windows, we also proposed CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier in the unfinished areas and BrightWall Basement Wall Panels in the finished area to give a more finished look and direct any wall moisture to the WaterGuard drainage system and into the sump pump.

Ben and Mindy were pleasantly surprised at the cost of the project as it was right in the price range they were expecting. They were ecstatic about having a much healthier and dry basement that will make their basement comfortable and pleasant and has a warranty to give them a peace of mind for the next 25 years. They would recommend Sure-Dry to their friends and family.
