Challenge

This poured wall basement had issued with water seeping in from the floor and at the cold joints. Homeowners had asked about a hole for a sump pump when the home was being built and had assumed it had been taken care of. They recently had noticed that the ground water levels had risen and water had been coming in through the floor of their basement and would continue to spread across the floor if they don't continually clean it up. They realized that they do not have a sump pump or a hole for one and only have a septic pump. Their basement was finished and the homeowners wanted to get the issue fixed permanently and get it back to functioning properly.

Solution

Sure-Dry, LLC installed a complete water system in this homeowner's basement including a WaterGuard® Below Floor Drain System with inspection ports, Bleeder lines, a Trench Drain™ Grated Drain Pipe System for their entry ways and around their well pump and a TripleSafe® Sump Pump System to safely and effectively carry the water collected to outside of the home before it had a chance to affect their basement. Unfortunately where the home was built and where the water levels in the ground were, we were not able to eliminate the water but instead focused on collecting and directing the water out and away from the home. We also installed IceGuard® and LawnScape® to ensure the water didn't freeze and back up into the home once the temperatures got cold. Customer was very happy with the work and thrilled that they could get back to using their basement without the worry of water.
