Water Control in Florence, WI

Challenge

Mary and Tom of Florence, WI were in need of a solution to stop water from getting in their basement.  With a waterfront property, water would find its way into their basement when the river was high, and their two sump pumps were having a hard time keeping up.  

Solution

Our System Design Specialist Rob P. provided Mary and Tom the perfect solution to their water problem.  First, Rob P. upgraded Mary and Tom's sump system to Sure-Dry's TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which provides three levels of protection against water coming in.  The ⅓ hp primary pump can discharge 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head, while the ½ hp secondary pump can discharge as much as 3,900 additional gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head. In the case of a tripped circuit, power outage, or sump failure, the TripleSafe™'s UltraSump® Battery Backup System will kick in. A second battery can be hooked up to a single system for an even longer running time.

In addition to the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, we installed additional footage of drainage pipe to ensure that the TripleSafe Sump Pump was discharging the water a far enough distance away from the home so that Mary and Tom didn't have to worry about the water finding its way back towward the foundation.
