Wall Straightening & Waterproofing in Neenah, WI
Challenge
The K. residence were in a situation in which it seemed like everything that could go wrong with their foundation was indeed going wrong. There was a three and half inch deflection along the west wall that was causing unwanted pressure on adjacent water pipes and every time it rained the basement would allow water penetration - not to mention the mold growth in the southwest corner. It was a combination of this water leakage, mold and a bowing basement wall that caused Mr. K. to call Sure-Dry Basement Systems to fix the problem, and fix it now. In addition to the issues, Mr. K. sooner or later wanted to reclaim his basement space and convert the unfinished space into living space for the family.
Solution
Our certified waterproofing professional inspected Mr. K.’s property and determined a solution that would achieve Mr. K.'s goals with the basement. Hopkins proposed work for a 37-foot wall excavation with exterior waterproofing, seven Geo-Lock wall anchors, and a TripleSafe sump pump system complete with IceGuard, LawnScape and 15 feet of buried discharge line.
After a two and a half day installation the wall was immediately straightened with the Geo-Lock wall anchors and pressure on the water pipes and electrical box subsided. With waterproofing measures in place the home no longer experienced water penetration through the foundation.
