Cracked, Tilting Foundation Walls & Crawl Space Moisture Issues Resolved in Neenah, WI

Challenge

These homebuyers were in the process of purchasing and home in Neenah and had been told during the home inspection that they needed to have a few repairs done to repair some foundation and water issues in the basement. They were closing on the home in two weeks and needed to get an estimate and have the repairs done right away so the cost could be taken care of in escrow. During Sure-Dry's inspection, it was confirmed that the foundation walls were cracked and tilting inwards in several places which was being caused by hydrostatic pressure on the outside of the home from the dirt not being compacted correctly when it was built. Also, the crawl space beneath the home wasn't sealed or waterproofed correctly which was leading to moisture issues in the home above.

Solution

To fix the foundation issues and prevent further movement of the basement walls, we installed GeoLock Wall Anchors and our PowerBrace Wall Repair System to stabilize the walls, prevent further movement, and to also correct the tilting walls over time. For the moisture issues in the crawl space, a combination of CleanSpace Drainage Matting, CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier, Smart Pipe, and Smart Drain were installed to insulate the area and properly collect and dispose of any water coming into it. The homeowners were very happy with the results and are now confident that their new investment is protected and will be comfortable to live in.
