Challenge

In 2018, Sure-Dry provided a solution for basement water intrusion in Nhia's basement by installing the WaterGuard Interior Drain System. Since then, Nhia has experienced a consistently dry basement and expressed appreciation for the exceptional service provided by the Sure-Dry team. Recently, she approached Sure-Dry about having an egress window installed to ensure the safety of her children by adding an emergency exit. Our company offered high-quality products at a competitive price, and Nhia recognized our extensive installation expertise, with over 100 egress windows installed annually.

Solution

Nhia's request to install an Egress Window in the main basement area was met with a significant challenge. Upon contacting Digger's Hotline to have utility lines marked, Sure-Dry discovered that the gas line running along the middle of that wall would obstruct the installation. The options were to either relocate the gas line or find a different location for the egress window. Nhia weighed the options and decided against paying the utility provider to reroute the gas line and instead chose to move the Egress Window to a different location in the bedroom. This not only solved the issue but also added value to the house for future sale. With this decision, Nhia can rest assured that her home is not only safe and functional for her and her children, but also a valuable asset.
