Driveway & Sidewalk Lifted & Sealed in Wrightstown, WI
Challenge
Carol purchased her 10-year-old home in 2004. In the past 4-5 years, settlement in front of the garage doors and walkway had increased to the point that her son had become very concerned with his mom falling. The step up from the walkway to the front stoop was getting extremely hard for Carol to navigate and with both the areas being unlevel, it had gotten to be unsafe.
The main area of settlement was at the face of the garage which was caused from poorly compacted fill soil, and wash out. The driveway had settled approximately 1.5” at the face of the garage and then 4” from the walkway to the front stoop. They were looking to have the stoop raised as high as the crew could raise it.
Solution
John and Carol decided to move forward with Sure-Dry based on the solution provided and the confidence in which it was delivered. They really liked the fact that we would be using NexusPro Joint Sealant to seal all cracks and joints and were also very pleased with the warranty attached to this solution as Sure-Dry's solution was the only one that provided a 5-year warranty and also sealed the cracks and joints. They were looking for a quality solution and thought the price was very reasonable.
Sure-Dry's crew was able to lift the driveway and sidewalk back up to its original position with PolyLevel Injection Foam and then sealed all of the cracks and joints with NexusPro Joint Sealant. The homeowners were thrilled with the results and happy that not only, will it be safer to navigate, water will now flow away from the problem soil areas.
