Total Water Protection for a Basement in Appleton, WI
Challenge
The owners of this home in Appleton, WI had a portion of their basement that was unfinished and was having multiple water issues.
First off, they noticed a small, vertical crack in the wall where water was finding its way in from the saturated soil surrounding the home's foundation.
With no system in place to catch and drain this water, the water was pooling on the basement floor, jeapardizing the items these homeowners has stored in the area.

Solution
To create a barrier between the basement wall and the home, Sure-Dry installed their patented CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier System. The CleanSpace system installs on the walls, preventing further moisture from passing through.
In order to collect and drain the water being caught by the CleanSpace system, Sure-Dry then installed their WaterGuard® system. The WaterGuard system collects water that seeps through basement walls and drains it to your sump pump. The system installs quickly and has a clean finished appearance, meaning you don't have to worry about having an unsightly drain around the basement. WaterGuard works for both block walls and poured concrete, ensuring that your basement remains dry in all situations.
To ensure that the water being collected by the WaterGuard system would properly drain and discharge out and away from the home, Sure-Dry then replaced these homeowner's old and unreliable sump pump with their SuperSump® Premier Pump System. It is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump includes a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. The SuperSump can also be installed with an optional UltraSump® Battery Backup Sump Pump, which can pump out 11,500 gallons or more on a single charge!
Lastly, to protect these homeowners from potential frozen discharge lines which would cause their sump pump to back up in the cold winter months, Sure-Dry installed their IceGuard® Discharge Line System. The IceGuard fits over the top of your discharge line to provide water with a secondary escape route. When the main line is working correctly, water simply flows out as usual. However, when the discharge line is frozen, the IceGuard allows water to escape through slotted openings in the drain pipe.
