Concrete Lifting and Water Control in Crivitz, WI

Challenge

Linda B. of Crivitz, WI was having issues with the cement patio in her backyard, which in turn was creating water issues in her basement and crawl space. The concrete slab that made up her patio was sinking and pitching toward her home. When heavy rains occured, the water that fell onto that concrete slab would come pouring toward her home's foundation, and eventually started making its way into her basement crawl space.

Solution

The first step in fixing Linda's problem was to first level the concrete slab to eliminate the issue of rain water pouring toward her home's foundation. Sure-Dry used their patented PolyLevel injection foam to lift and level the concrete slab. PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the concrete to fill the gaps caused by soil erosion and raise and stabilize the concrete surface.

Once her concrete was lifted and leveled, Sure-Dry then installed a total water control system in Linda's basement and crawl space to keep her basement permanently dry. Sure-Dry first installed a SuperSump Plus sump pump to collect any water that would find itself in the basement or crawl space. Sure-Dry then installed buried discharge lines so that the water from the sump pump could be discharged a safe distance from the home.

To ensure any potential water coming into the home would be collected by the sump pump and discharge away from the home, Sure-Dry installed their WaterGuard and Dry Track perimeter water drainage systems around the interior perimeter of Linda's basement and crawl space.

Sure-Dry then installed an Aprilaire dehumidifier to capture any excess moisture in the air of the basement and crawl space. The Aprilaire also will prevent any future mold growth and eliminate the potential of any foul odor caused by air moisture.
